Pixie Pavilions!

       The largest and oldest mushroom known to exist in the Wee Village vicinity, "Grandpa" is very unique as he has four legs to help stabilize it in its ‘old age’. What wasn't known was that 'Grandpa' sits right on top of the Pixie Gem Mine! All sorts of fabulous jewels are brought up from the mine hidden under 'Grandpa'. These stones are then sorted, cut and polished or other wise made pretty in the rooms overhead.
    Included in the packet are the Flannel Plant. The Stamens are often combined with the fruit of the Pearl Tree from the Grand Banshee's Hummock in Olde Towne to create lovely 'cultured' jewelry. Neighbors do not care for the Flannel plant usually as it has a tendency to make "baa'ing" noises at night time and doesn't yield to being counted easily.
    Cat Tails grow in a tiny spring that some believe is the source of Grandfather Mushroom’s longevity, in fact, the Pixies from the Apothecary Shoppe regularly fill bottles from it for their potions and lotions. The plants are used to absorb excess water from the gem mine and also yield fluff to pack the gems in, diaper Wee Wee Ones and cause Trolls to sneeze.

Perhaps the most mysterious place within the Wee Village and it’s surrounding communities is the Elven Slough. Although most residents of the Wee Village tend to stay away from the shallow pools except when its berry season or when the trolls have one of their stupendous mud ball fights, it is known that the tall cottonwood tree is famous even to Big Folks who made a rhyme about it. “Elves and Pixies sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!”
Those who do explore within the Slough will be surprised and delighted at the wonderful Willows that drape themselves over the pools and provide light, feathery hide away spots for all the creatures that inhabit the Slough. When they get quite tall they often shelter the rare Butterscotch Mushrooms that ogre’s are known to be fond of while only the elves know the location of the even more rare Chocolate Cherry Mushrooms that occasionally can be found for sale in one of their shops. There's even a surprise! A bonus for the bonus block plus a mystery!

The Cheese Factory simply appeared in the Wee Village when the Pixies moved in and discovered a hollowed out rind of Bleu Cheese was available! This was quickly moved to the business district and the Pixies began developing their wares. Imaginative quilters as well as Wee Folk will be delighted with the American Cheese (It could also be English, Dutch or what ever flag you choose) Mushroom as well as the delightful Longhorn Cheese Tree that used to be a Shorthorn. Of course, we can't forget the trolls so we have the Limburger Bush which has fruits that peel like a banana but smell -- well, you know what trolls like. All in all, this one is loads of fun!

How do the Winged Folk of the Wee Village and the surrounding area repair their wings when they tangle with thorns? Why, they rely on the spider threads collected and dyed by the Pixies who operate the Wing Weavers Shop! Wee Folk get tired of cooking! And the Wee Mage and Magician got tired of making 'cook' spells as well. The Pixies know of course that the Wee Folk love exotic 'Big Folk' foods such as pizza, hot dogs and hamburgers so they quickly adapted plants and 'shrooms to create suitable foods for their new cafe (that has a crust for a roof!) More Pixie fun is in the details! And there's even a mystery in this design too!

In the Wee Village tradition, there is always a 'necessary' addition! The pixies realized this as they built their commercial center and imported an exotic structure from the Big Folks Dump. 850-10 The Pixie Pavilions Haunted Apple Shoppe
The Pixies have really prepared for Halloween in the Wee Village! Their hollowed out apple dispenses cider and caramel apple chunks, the delightful 'Shroom street lights also make delicious pies after lighting the Wee Village streets and the Candy Popcorn Bush is a huge favorite with all the Wee Wee ones, especially when the blooms are coated in the caramel, vanilla and sometimes licorice from the "Witches Hat" 'Shrooms. Quilters can even decorate the inside of the apple in this delightful design!

850-11 The Pixie Pavilions Tailor Shoppe
Winter is coming to the Wee Village! Wee Folk need warm clothing to fit their unique styles and of course, the Pixie's have set up shop to provide just the right things for fairies, elves, trolls and all the others in the Wee Village! The Great Oak of course provides warm leaves in bright colors for various garments while the acorns make wonderful hats while the nuts make lovely cups and good food. There is even a Button N Bow's Bush, a Needles N Pin's plant and of course, the wonderful Feather 'Shroom that provides plumes for trimming hats and other clothing. Imaginative quilters will also create Muffler Trees, Galoshes 'Shrooms, Zipper Plants and other needs. Be sure to check out Sandy Harris's Wee Folks this month too - she has something very special for that large window in the Great Oak! Hmm, the mystery is also appearing! Oh my! it looks like this door is ajar!

The Holidays are here in the Wee Village! and the Pixies have really prepared for all the gift giving! The Piney Shroom not only has a huge display for all the fun things that quilters will find to tempt Wee Shoppers, the 'shroom is ready to be decorated from the Trim Bush. Of course, the trees in the background may be trimmed as well but they can also grow much larger or shrink depending on how the quilter envisions the scene. The snow on the branches may be used to create wonderful drifts on the ground too. This is a wonderful finale to the Pixie Pavilions year long BOM!
